In this project students will examine the varying ecosystems, things they, and other creatures and people, need to survive and the things they want in their lives. This project works best when accompanied by a cross curriculum investigation into nature and ecosystems.
The project examines artists and the creation of terrariums, culminating in a group project to create a fantasy piece.
After completing this project with Year 3's recently I found they enjoyed the freedom and creativity of the group work but have adjusted that section to be at the end of the project once individual work has been complete.
This unit investigates drawing, colouring and collage.
In this lesson, students will continue their experimentation with ink and stick, engaging with contemporary artist Jim Butler.
This lesson will use collage to highlight areas of interest in landscape images.
This work is set out for two extended art lessons. The PPt is separated into two lessons with starters, afl opportunities and plenaries for both, as well as an extension activity.
Students will be creating their own collage city. There is a link to an example video included in the ppt. and listed success criteria.

This project has worked well for myself as an introductory project for students are the start of the school year. It allows different members of the class to learn about who they are sat with, their interests as well as expressing their own interests. It also introduces the ideas of self and peer assessment.
This PowerPoint contains five seperate pieces of Art work formed around building an understanding of the Landscape and different parts of the landscape, as well as various Art techniques including: drawing, colouring and collage.
All pieces contain a WALT/LI with examples of student or exemplar work to assist with the project. Some pieces contain starter activities or assessment opportunities to be used with the class.
In this PPt, students are introduced to landscapes and have to engage with identifying different features of landscape images.
The lesson is designed around the intention of producing a Plein Air image from working around or outside the classroom.
In this lesson students will examine an alternative mark-making tool, ink and stick, and use it with a variety of pre-collected images to produce a landscape.

In this pack there are several created challenge sheets to be used to introduce Maker spaces/Innovation Labs, or Innovation and creativity into the classroom.

Within this term based project, there are a wide range of activities based upon totem poles from artwork of the indigenous people of the pacific northwest.
Assessment rubrics are included and are based around the International Baccalaureate assessment objectives and grading.

In this lesson students will choose one of three landscape artists, engaging in research questions adding their own personal opinion before completing their own version of the artists work.
Two artists include links to video demonstrations for how to get started with the work.
The lesson ends with an interesting AfL questioning opportunity, examining older landscape work.
